ESOL - stands for English for Speakers of Other Languages. These are courses directed at those students who need to brush up on their English language skills before proceeding into other studies or employment. 

Functional Skills - qualifications designed to help both young people and adults develop their essential Maths, English and ICT skills in order to apply them in employment and everyday life.
